Paul M. Rood, of Rochester and formerly of Attica, died Friday, Jan. 20, 2012 at his home. He was 67.
He was born in Warsaw on June 2, 1944, the son of the late Murray and Clara (Hemlein) Rood. A resident of Rochester for the past 40 years, Mr. Rood retired from the production line at Kodak in 1988. He attended Gates Wesleyan Church and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mr. Rood was known as an outgoing man who loved animals.

Eliot W. Pritchard, of Swansea, S.C. and formerly of Bliss, died at his home on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2012. He was 75.
Mr. Pritchard was born in Bainbridge, N.Y. on July 12, 1936 to the late Avis and William Pritchard of Masonville. He graduated from Sidney High School in 1954 and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 to 1958.

James R. McLaughlin II, of Strykersville, died Friday, Jan. 20, 2012 at the Wyoming County Nursing Facility in Warsaw. He was 76.
He was born Oct. 2, 1935 in Buffalo, son of the late James R. and Mary (Carmody) McLaughlin, Sr.

Marydith Van Cise DeGolyer, of Castile, died Monday, Jan. 23, 2012 at home under the care of her family and hospice. She was 90.
She was born July 14, 1921 in Summit, N.J., daughter of the late Edwin and Theresa (Baker) Van Cise. She was the salutatorian of her high school class in Summit, and she received a bachelor’s of science degree in home economics from Cornell University.

Wanda L. Bennett, of Batavia, died Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. She was 66.
She was born Dec. 10,1945 in Fillmore, daughter of late Lyle Wilcox and Mildred (Clark) Wilcox.
