Paul M. Rood, of Rochester and formerly of Attica, died Friday, Jan. 20, 2012 at his home. He was 67.

He was born in Warsaw on June 2, 1944, the son of the late Murray and Clara (Hemlein) Rood. A resident of Rochester for the past 40 years, Mr. Rood retired from the production line at Kodak in 1988. He attended Gates Wesleyan Church and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mr. Rood was known as an outgoing man who loved animals.

Eliot W. Pritchard, of Swansea, S.C. and formerly of Bliss, died at his home on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2012. He was 75.

Mr. Pritchard was born in Bainbridge, N.Y. on July 12, 1936 to the late Avis and William Pritchard of Masonville. He graduated from Sidney High School in 1954 and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 to 1958.
