Paul M. Rood, Kodak employee, loved animals

Paul M. Rood, of Rochester and formerly of Attica, died Friday, Jan. 20, 2012 at his home. He was 67.

He was born in Warsaw on June 2, 1944, the son of the late Murray and Clara (Hemlein) Rood. A resident of Rochester for the past 40 years, Mr. Rood retired from the production line at Kodak in 1988. He attended Gates Wesleyan Church and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mr. Rood was known as an outgoing man who loved animals.

He is survived by a daughter, Anna (Bill) Glitzer of Hilton; a son, Chad Rood of Rochester; a sister, Dorann (Bill) O’Neil of Attica; and two granddaughters, Annika and Marissa Glitzer of Hilton.

Mr. Rood was predeceased by a brother, Murray Rood Jr.

Calling hours are Thursday, Jan. 26 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Weeks Funeral Home at 123 N. Main St. in Warsaw. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home at 12 p.m., with Pastor Joseph Liddick of Gates Wesleyan Church as celebrant.

Additional visitation hours will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Jan. 26 at the James R. Gray Funeral Home at 1530 Buffalo Road, Rochester. Burial will take place privately in Dale Cemetery.
